The E-Gallery bio picture
  • Welcome to eGallery web blog…

a gallery by Edmund Tham (one of the World's Top 9 WPJA Wedding Photographers in 2008). This gallery is an extension of our office and functions as a place to showcase our masterpieces. Beside that, this gallery also doubles up as a creative place for friends / photographers to gather and share their thoughts together.

Edmund is a graphic design graduate with years of experience in the advertising and events management industry whose love for photography began during his teenage years while working as an assistant at a photography studio. This love affair blossomed over the years and breathed life to eGallery. Edmund believes that great photography goes beyond skilled hands and technical know-how. Most importantly, it requires an expressive mind, a keen eye and a kindred heart to grasp the finer details, thus revealing emotions that speak volumes. My vision is simple: to boost the level of Malaysian wedding photography making it on par with international standards.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) Wedding Photography

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It is a type of photography that allows you to capture a much greater range of light and detail in a single photo. An HDR photo usually contains a blending of light areas and dark areas that are much closer in appearance to what your normal eyes would see than with a traditional photograph.

HDR photos are created by combining 3 or more photos taken at different exposures. After the 3 photos are merged into a single HDR file, a feature called “tone mapping” allows you to combine the light and dark details in a single photo to produce an (often exaggerated) photo with a high range of detail and color. You usually need a tripod because each photo needs to be taken from the same perspective and angle.

Here are some of the sample of HDR Wedding Photography…

Jen & Jennifer

I got to know Jen & Jennifer through Signature Photographers Workshop 2009. They looking for both Wedding Portrait and Wedding Day Photography service, but unfortunate I’m booked on their wedding day. We only able to handle the Wedding Portrait for them.

The Wedding Portrait shoot take place in Penang Island. They were really fun and sporting persons doing whatever i asked them to do. We went to few different places in Penang such as Rasa Sayang Hotel (couple staying there), Peranakan, MNG at Gurney Plaza and Prai Station… After the shoot, we driving around and hunt for good hawker foods in Penang. Can you imagine that 6 of us eaten more then RM 150 at the hawker stalls. The whole trip was really fun, enjoy and non stop eating through out the trip.

Sam Sisavanh & Winnie Ling, Sydney

Sam & Winnie got to know my service through Ivy (my previous client) and Winnie falls in love with my masterpieces and decide to hire my for their wedding in Sydney. I been there to cover the event by myself, had been more then 2 years i never shoot alone. It’s very tiring…  But after i saw the photo results, i feel everything is worth… Let me share some of the interesting shots from the event…
